In order to enhance employees' awareness of fire safety and improve their emergency response capabilities in case of fire, recently, Ningbo Jianmei Sports Goods Co., Ltd. organized all its staff to carry out a fire drill activity, using practical operations to build a solid "firewall" for the company's safe production. This drill covered three parts: fire safety knowledge explanation, emergency evacuation drill and practical fire extinguishing training. The entire process was tense yet orderly, and the results were remarkable.
At the beginning of the drill, the safety officer, in light of the flammable nature of sports goods warehouses, provided a detailed explanation of the fire alarm process, initial fire suppression techniques, and the correct way to wear gas masks through case analysis and on-site demonstrations. In response to the safety questions raised by the employees, the safety officer answered them one by one to ensure that the fire safety knowledge was deeply rooted in their minds.
As the alarm sounded, the evacuation drill officially kicked off. Under the guidance of the safety officer, the employees covered their mouths and noses with wet towels, bent over in a low posture and quickly passed through the safety passage. They all evacuated to the designated safe area in just three minutes. After the number of people was counted, the heads of each department reported the evacuation situation to the chief commander, with no one left out.
During the practical fire-fighting session, the employees were divided into groups to receive training on the use of fire extinguishers. "Lift, pull, hold, press", everyone followed the standard movements, precisely aimed at the base of the flame and sprayed, successfully extinguishing the simulated fire point. Under the guidance of the experienced employees, the new staff practiced repeatedly and quickly mastered the key points of fire extinguishing.
The company's person in charge stated that this drill effectively tested the feasibility of the emergency response plan and enhanced the employees' emergency response capabilities.
